Westview girls rip Churubusco

The Westview varsity girls basketball team earned its second NECC win and its third overall victory of the young season Saturday night at Churubusco, 54-20.

Coach Randy Yoder’s Lady Warriors tallied the first 16 points of the game and built leads of 27-8 and 40-13 at the middle two period breaks.

Ten different players got into the scoring act for Westview. Topping the list with 11 markers was Alex Burr. The 6-1 senior also snagged a team-high 12 rebounds.

Summer Konkle registered five boards and three assists for the victors. Ashya Klopfenstein collected four steals.

Brein Gross and Callie Lemper sank five points apiece to lead Churubusco.
