Westview boys defeat Warsaw

Charlie Yoder scored 10 points and Elijah Hales nine in the fourth quarter to help rally Westview past Warsaw, 57-50 in a non-conference varsity boys basketball tussle Saturday night in Emma.

The No. 2-ranked and unbeaten Warriors trailed the Tigers, 31-29 entering the final frame. But sparked by a three-point play and a three-pointer from Yoder, and a 9-10 effort from the foul stripe by Hales, Westview put together a 28-18 surge to secure its eighth victory of the campaign in as many outings.

Yoder finished with 21 points and Hales 17. The duo also collected five rebounds each.

Nolan Groninger tossed in 21 points and dished out six assists to pace Warsaw. Zach Riley pitched in 10 tallies.
