Teen leadership development seminar offered

A teen leadership seminar is planned for July 8-29 in LaGrange County. Area authorities, churches, and businesses are supporting the leadership seminar, which will be held on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon in the meeting room at the LaGrange Fire Dept. on Townline Road.

Teens can come and discover the blessings that they have around them, and experience the opportunity to get involved in the next generation of great leaders. The seminar will help teens unlock their potential and discover there are no limits on what they can accomplish through Christ. The seminar will help provide the tools for youth to live a successful and proactive life.

At the end of the seminar, each teen will be able to answer the following questions:

Why am I here?

What is a leader? Is a leader born or made?

How do my decisions impact my family, my community, and my country?

How can I be more proactive and less reactive?

Other topics to be covered include: unforgiveness and its ugly tentacles, bullying and cyberbullying, drugs and their consequences, and suicide and the loss of someone’s legacy.

Every teen has tremendous potential within him or her. With confidence, the proper tools and faith, they have the ability to overcome and achieve anything.
