Prairie Heights boys topple Bethany Christian

Prairie Heights claimed its second varsity boys basketball victory of the young season Saturday night in Brushy Prairie at the expense of Bethany Christian, 43-30.

Leading by a scant two point (18-16) at halftime, the Panthers used a 12-4 spurt in the third quarter to increase their advantage to double digits. The hosts then closed the game on a 13-10 run.

Mike Perkins tallied 14 points and Garrett Culler swished 13 to lead the 2-2 Panthers. Tanner Walter and Elijah Malone each dropped in six markers, and Ethan Hoover scored four.

Hoover snagged five rebounds, while Walter, Perkins and Culler each grabbed four. Walter also dished out three assists.

Bethany was led by Seth Brenneman with 13 points and Lucas Brownsberger-Keyes with 11.
