LaGrange County Career Fair planned Wednesday

Adults seeking employment and wanting to explore career options are invited to the LaGrange County Opportunities for Success Coalition’s Career Fair Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the LaGrange County 4-H Fair Community Building.

 Thirty businesses and organizations will share career opportunities with high school students during the career fair’s morning exhibit. The career fair will then be open from 2-4 p.m. for adults who want to explore and learn about a variety of career fields from local employers. Adults will have the opportunity to speak with organizations in the fields of education, manufacturing, finance, hospitality and tourism, energy, government and more.

Exhibitors include: Questa Education Foundation, LaGrange County Promise, Ivy Tech Community College (Fort Wayne), Freedom Academy, Impact Institute, Peoplelink Staffing, Work One, Therma Tru, Lennard Ag Company, Pallet One, Heartland RVS, Exo-s, Fort Wayne Electrical JATC, Farmers State Bank, Jayco, KZ RV, Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 166 JATC, Trading Post Canoe, Kayak and Campground, Blue Gate Hospitality, Parkview LaGrange Hospital, Interra Credit Union, Miller Poultry, Bowen Center, LaGrange County REMC, LaGrange County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Purdue Extension of LaGrange County, LaGrange County Community Foundation, LaGrange County Government and Compassion Pregnancy Center of Northeastern Indiana.

The LaGrange County Opportunities for Success Coalition started in 2015. Education professionals and community leaders joined together to promote training access and success for all LaGrange County students and community members.
